analogue soundlab at KAAP 06/07-2012
I was asked to participate in the KAAP art festival for children in Utrecht. The festival is held every year at fort Ruigenhoek, an old WW2 fortress just outside of Utrecht. The theme of the festival this year was art and technology and I decided to revisit my analogue soundlab installation. I originally made the same paper cones as the analogue soundlab 1 version but the intens humidity inside the fortress dissolved the paper cones after just 4 days. Im really glad it did because the new version with the big buckets in the confined space of the fortress sounded a lot better. There are no electronics in this project, just metal wire coiled in a spring and the buckets as amplifiers.
