Another experiment with extremely long spring reverbs. For this one I suspended 100 meters of 3.5mm galvanised steel in a long hallway. This time I used a piezo element to amplify the sound.

this sounds great! what was the signal chain after the piezo?

thanks! There is no signal chain, the audio clip on soundcloud is literally the piezo feeding directly into audacity on my laptop. No pre-amp at all. For the video I connected the piezo to a simple amplifier and speaker setup and recorded the sound straight into the camera mic.
Piezo’s are an amazing piece of technology.
