This project has been a long time coming, but the first prototype is finally done. Still some minor changes to be made, mainly around the filter and a CV input for the filter.
- 2 triangle oscillators with fine tune knob for those tearing slow drones.
- 2 triangle LFO’s with interchangable capacitors to set the range.
- LFO amount for both sides
- LED reflector rate indicators
- custom filter with resonance control
- on/off and volume
sorry for the bad video quality, my camera is old and doesn’t like low lighting conditions. The audio was recorded raw into ableton live directly from the output without any filtering or effects.
And here is the very first prototype circuit on a breadboard:

Nice !!!
I really like the LED, this gives amore global experience.
Perhaps this could also project something on the wall/ceiling if these are replaced by lasers behind a prism. It would really be a magic experience to have a “mandala” on the wall somehow synced to the sound. I ‘m thinking something like the laserpod but with more possibilities.
Any idea of the price a kit may cost?
Ben.

I really like your idea of a laser mandela and Im definately going to try it.
As for the kit, Im still in the middle of the design process so check in regulary for more updates.

I really, REALY like this! I have been interested in electronic music since the 70’s, and this is an awesome device.
I would be very interested in a kit.

Thank you. I’ve been very busy lately with redesigning the entire thing with more complex LFO’s and a far better filter. Here are some video’s:

I don’t have much time since Im a fulltime student but hopefully I can get the kits available in a couple of months.

This would be a very cool kit to build. I find the Organ Dronor rather hypnotic & takes me back to when I was a kid playing with a friends parents 3 Moogs.
Keep up the good work.
